"To heal the sick" is an evangelical imperative practiced throughout the
Gospels by Jesus himself. Our missionaries can do no less and while constantly
extending themselves to the spiritual needs of the African people - we remain
mindful of the importance of Christ's mandate. Together with our missionary and
religious colleagues we have established:
Clinics and Hospitals
Orphanages
Primary Health Care Facilities
Basic Health Education
Birthing Centers
Nutritional Education for Mothers
Emergency Food Distribution
Most often located in the remotest regions of Africa
where medical and health care would not otherwise be available.
The fight against ignorance and disease remains an urgent priority throughout
Africa.

- Nsambya Babies Home
Uganda is one of the African countries being hit hardest by the current
AIDS crisis. But over the last 40 years it has also had more than its
share of calamities such as war and natural disasters. And while all of
these events are both horrifying and fearsome, the common factor is that
they have killed and impoverished men and women throughout East Africa.
Men and women who were parents - who left behind tiny babies . . .
innocent children who are victims in a world filled with fear and
despair.
For more than 130 years, the Missionaries of Africa have been working
to help heal the lives of African children - children whose lives have
been repeatedly torn apart by the violence created by nature and by
humanity. That's why we are urgently seeking financial support for the
Nsambya Babies Project. It is our hope that as these tiny infants
grow into young men and women, they will discover a future filled with
vision and promise - a future they will share with those around
them.
